Vision

Mission

We at the department of Mechanical Engineering will strive to,

  • Develop successful and competent professionals with special skills by providing rigorous academic exercise.
  • Encourage the students for continuous learning and to outclass in the competitive examinations.
  • Motivate the students in Research and entrepreneurship to face global challenges.
  • Inculcate the student‟s ethical, economical and ecological values to make this globe, the best place for mankind.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEO’s)

  • PEO-I: Graduates produced will be specialized in Engineering design, Thermal engineering, manufacturing, Industrial Engineering and in interdisciplinary domains.
  • PEO-II: Graduates produced will be capable of analyzing real time problems using innovative ideas in the field of Mechanical Engineering.
  • PEO-III: Graduates will be able to exhibit professionalism, ethical attitude, communication skills, team work in their profession and adapt to recent trends.

Program Outcomes (PO’s)

  • Engineering knowledge: An Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering knowledge for solutions to engineering problems.
  • Problem analysis: An Ability to design, analyze, conduct experiments and interpret the data.
  • Design/Development of solutions: An ability to design a system or a component to meet the needs of the public health and safety, societal, cultural and environmental factors.
  • Conduct investigations of complex problems: Utilization of gained engineering knowledge to provide valid conclusions for complex problems.
  • Modern tool usage: Application of appropriate techniques and tools to execute complex engineering problems.
  • The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge from professional engineering practice to assess societal, health, safety, legal, cultural issues and consequent responsibilities.
  • Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of professional engineering in societal, environmental and for sustainable development.
